Cheiloplasty (Surgical Lip Augmentation)
Who is a Candidate for Cheiloplasty: If you are looking to permanently increase the width of your lips without using injectable fillers – cheiloplasty may be for you.
Planned Results: To increase the width of the red area of your lip without changing the projection of your lips.
Procedure Description: Markings will be placed on your lip and then frozen with local anesthetic. The red part of your lip will be surgically moved in order to increase the amount of red lip showing. Very small stitches will be placed.
Recuperation and Healing: You can expect minor swelling, bruising and discomfort. These may be treated with acetaminophen or ibuprofen. You may use ice to decrease the swelling. Avoid any hot liquids (soup, coffee, tea etc) while your lips are frozen. The stitches will be removed in 3-4 days.
Options: Temporary lip augmentation with Teosyal or Esthelis, microfat grafting
