Microfat Grafting
Who is a Candidate for Microfat Grafting: Microfat grafting can be used to rejuvenate the face, the hands or fill volume loss in other areas of the body. Individuals who are looking for longer lasting results than can be offered by injectable fillers and are willing to accept the recovery time associated with the procedure are candidates for microfat grafting.
Planned Results: Elimination of deep wrinkles and improved volume of cheeks, fats and other body areas.
Procedure Description: Under local anesthetic, small amounts of fat can be harvested from your abdomen and purified. The purified fat can then be injected into facial wrinkles, cheeks, and lips in a similar fashion as Teosyal injectable filler. Using your own fat allows for permanent augmentation in these areas. Your purified fat can also be injected into your hands to rejuvenate their appearance, it can also be used to smooth out the contour of some depressed scars. Under general anesthetic, fat injections can be used for buttock augmentation or combined with facial rejuvenation procedures. Fat grafting has many possible uses.
Recuperation and Healing: Recuperation and healing times depend on the amount of fat injected and the region into which it is injected. This procedure has postoperative bruising and swelling associated with it to a greater extent than the temporary injectable fillers.
Options: Teosyal or Esthelis injectable filler can be used to temporarily augment areas.
