Mole Removal
Who is a Candidate for Mole Removal: Many people are bothered by cosmetically unacceptable moles, these can easily be removed under local anesthetic. At your initial consult the physician will examine the mole to ensure there is no evidence of skin cancer.
Planned results: Complete resolution of the mole
Procedure description: The skin lesion will be marked out and the area will be injected with local anesthetic. The skin will be cleansed with skin sterilizer and the mole removed. The incison will be closed with small stitches All moles removed will be sent for pathology for confirmation of diagnosis.
Recuperation and Healing: You can expect minimal bruising or swelling and will be able to return to work and daily activities immediately. Avoid any activities that increase your blood pressure for 24 hours after the procedure.
Options and Considerations: Some moles can be removed by laser, this will be determined at your initial consult.
