Mole Removal
The gold standard of laser resurfacing is the UltraPulse CO2 laser. Laser lesion/scar treatment is one of the options U Cosmetic uses to get rid of unwanted benign moles/lesions or minimize scars. The UltraPulseCO2 Laser delivers tiny laser pulses in a fine grid pattern creating zones of heat deep in the tissue and depending on the settings or indication of the treatment the laser immediately evaporates tissue in the case of unwanted benign skin lesions or remodels/improves scar tissue by stimulating collagen production.
UltraPulse CO2 Laser treatments used to treat lesions or scars include ActiveFX TM, DeepFX TM or TotalFX TM. ActiveFXTM targets more superficial skin issues such as unwanted benign lesions or superficial scars. DeepFX TM targets deeper skin issues such as deep scars. TotalFX TM is a combination of both ActiveFXTM and DeepFX TM in the same treatment giving a maximized treatment for more resistant scars such as acne or chicken pox scars.
Other options besides UltraPulse CO2 Laser treatments for removing skin lesions include the KTP laser for very small or superficial lesions such as skin tags and seborrheic keratosis removal, photodynamic therapy or liquid nitrogen treatments for actinic keratosis (pre-cancerous lesions), surgical excision of the lesion or scar or not having a procedure at all. Surgical excision may be recommended if the lesion needs to be tested for malignancy (cancer).
